08.11.2018, Berlin: ClickClickDrive, the leading online platform offering an all-in-one driving school management software solution with an integrated driving school search, today announces the closing of a $ 1 million angel round.

The round of financing was led by Emmanuel Thomassin, the CFO of Delivery Hero, who has already successfully managed a company from early stage to its IPO. Other well-known investors have made private investments: Stefan Glaenzer (Passion Capital), Jonathan Green (Luxor Capital) and Burkhard Schwenker (former CEO Roland Berger). Together, they will provide financing to the company founded in Belgium in September 2017.

With the fresh capital, ClickClickDrive intends to further expand its market leadership in Germany and push the international expansion into further European markets in order to accelerate its growth. At the same time, the software solution is being further developed. Here, the booking system, as well as an app solution for easy communication between instructors and students, are in the pipeline.

Aibek Van Den Ackerveken, founder and CEO of ClickClickDrive, explains: "This financing round is a big step forward and strong validation of our business model, It is also a testament to the strong product market fit and traction we have achieved. In addition to expanding into new markets, we want to further invest in developing our software ecosystem for driving schools."

Emmanuel Thomassin, former CFO of Delivery Hero, has joined the company as an angel investor. Following the successful IPO in 2017 he is very confident that he has put the right card back on the table: "What persuaded me to invest in ClickClickDrive is the attractive combination of a highly scalable business model, a very attractive market opportunity, and a founding team that brings together an ideal combination of complementary expertise and necessary experience. I am delighted to be part of creating the next success story of Berlin with ClickClickDrive." Thomassin not only backing ClickClickDrive with capital rather he provides operational support by giving access to its private and corporate network.

In addition, the startup was selected as the only German company from over 400 international applicants by the Founders Embassy and invited to San Francisco. The Founders Embassy addresses its offer to international entrepreneurs to give them access to Silicon Valley.

Andee Gardiner, co-founder of Founders Embassy is more than happy  to have ClickClickDrive as a part of their fall 2018 class: "There are a handful of things that stood out to us about Aibek's company during our initial interview process, including his breadth of knowledge regarding how the company could translate into the US and other markets, the impressive traction their company has achieved with narrow resources, and their focus on creating a solution for a specific major life moment. We look forward to supporting the company in creating this solution at scale as they continue to expand internationally."
